Introduction: My Hair and My Story
Hair is every girl’s defining characteristic—and for me, it’s always been a symbol of my confidence. But until a few years ago, my hair wasn’t quite what it is now. It would fall out, become dry, and require frequent cuts due to split ends. Even after using a variety of expensive shampoos and conditioners, nothing made a significant difference.
Then I decided I would take care of my hair my own way— with a natural, simple, and consistent routine .
Today I am going to tell you about my personal haircare routine , which made my hair long, strong and shiny.
🪷 Step 1: Oiling twice a week – “Mom’s recipe always works”

I remember how relaxing it felt when my mother applied hot oil to my hair as a child. I broke that habit after college, but when my hair started falling out, I returned to the tradition.
Now, I massage my hair with hot oil twice a week .
Here’s my secret mix:
- Coconut oil – nourishes hair
- Castor oil – promotes hair growth
- Fenugreek seeds – reduces dandruff and hair fall
I warm all three of these ingredients and apply them to my scalp, then wash them out after about an hour.
Sometimes I even leave them on overnight. Honestly, this step has been a game-changer for my hair.
💧 Step 2: Choose the right shampoo and wash method

I used to use whatever shampoo I had on hand. But later I realized that every hair
type needs a specific shampoo. My hair is a bit dry, so now I use a sulfate-free mild shampoo .
Here are the things I keep in mind when washing my hair:
- Never put very hot water on your hair.
- First I wash off the oil with lukewarm water.
- I don’t shampoo twice, once with gentle hands is enough.
- After washing my hair, I always rinse it with cool water so that the shine of my hair remains intact.
🌼 Step 3: No conditioner, I use a “DIY Hair Mask”

I noticed that many commercially available conditioners made my hair soft for a short time, but they didn’t have the same long-term effect.
So I started making my own homemade hair masks .
My favorite mask:
- 2 teaspoons curd
- 1 teaspoon aloe vera gel
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
- a little lemon juice
I mix it well and apply it to my hair, then rinse it out after 30 minutes.
This not only softens my hair but also restores its natural shine.
☀️ Step 4: Protect your hair from the sun and pollution

I used to go out with my hair open without a second thought. But now I understand how harmful the sun and dust can be.
Now, whenever I go out:
- I wear a scarf or cap .
- And I tie my hair loosely.
This small step protects hair from environmental damage and keeps it healthy.
🌙 Step 5: Night Care – “Hair Care Even While You Sleep”
Many people have a habit of sleeping with their hair loose at night, but this causes tangles and breakage.
Every night before bed, I:
- I comb my hair gently,
- I tie them in a loose braid
. Sometimes I use a silk pillowcase, which reduces frizz.
🥦 Step 6: The Role of Diet – “Beautiful Hair from Within”

Hair health depends not only on external care, but also on internal health
. I incorporated the following into my diet:
- Green vegetables (spinach, fenugreek)
- Dried fruits (almonds, walnuts)
- Egg and yogurt
- lots of water
To be honest, ever since I started eating healthy, my hair has become stronger and shinier than before.
💆 Step 7: Mind Relaxation — “Less Stress, Less Hair Fall”

We often forget that stress is a major cause of hair loss
. Now I take some time for myself every day—
sometimes I meditate, sometimes I go for a walk.
This not only calms my mind but also makes a visible difference to my hair.
💖 My experience and results

I ‘ve been following this routine for the past eight months
. While I used to be worried about hair loss, it’s now thicker, longer, and stronger .
Whenever someone asks, “How come your hair is so good?”, I smile and say,
“A little patience, a little care, and a lot of love.”
This blog is based on my personal experience . Everyone’s hair type is different, so always do a patch test before trying any new product or remedy.
